Digital India by Nicholas Pippins

This last summer I had the amazing opportunity to travel to India for a month. While the nature of this trip was not focused on photography I definitely knew I would have a camera with me at all times. Before my travels I decided to photograph mostly on film. I really wanted to pack light and couldn't imagine going to India without coming back with rolls of film to show for it. My mother went to India in her twenties and shot a bunch of slides that I grew up looking at. I think it's a big part of why I started taking photographs in the first place. So, if I got the chance to go I had to shoot on film. I ended up taking only a Contax G1 and the 28mm Biogon lens. I wanted something that would force me to get close to the subject. But at the last minute I decided to also take a Nikon point-and-shoot. The following photographs were taken with the digital point-and-shoot. I'm gonna continue to process the film and post here as I can.
